BACHELORETTES

Before you book your pole dancing party with us, let’s learn more about Bachelorette Parties. Also known as Stagette Parties (if you are in Canada), and Hen Parties (if you are in UK, Ireland and Australia.)

What is a bachelorette party?

A bachelorette party is the final ‘party’ of the bride-to-be's upcoming marriage and their last experiences being single, celebrated with her closest friends. The word bachelorette was first used in 1935, and is American English, from bachelor with a French ending -ette. Replaced earlier bachelor- girl (1895).

Who plans the bachelorette party?

The bachelorette party is normally planned by the maid of honor or the bridesmaids as a group effort. The maid of honor will use her wedding team of brides maids who was carefully selected by the bride, to plan and coordinate the ultimate surprise and best last hurrah. Sometimes close family members will take charge of the plans or the bride-to-be herself will plan her own bachelorette party. But to ensure multiple parties don’t occur the same time, it’s important that the made of honor and bridesmaids communicate with the bride’s family.

Who gets invited to a bachelorette party?

When you walk into a bachelorette party, you can expect to see the brides closed friends who are the bridesmaids and also female family members such as sisters, and mother. The bride-to-be has the last say as to who is invited to her party, regardless of who plans and what activities are chosen.

Who pays for the bachelorette party?

The bachelorette party is paid for by the maid of honor and bridesmaids. The bride's expenses (including her drinks, meals, and transportation) are split evenly between the bridal party. If the bachelorette party is just a one-night celebration, the bride-to-be should not be paying for anything. Everyone in attendance pays for their own share and cover a portion of the bride-to-be's expenses. However if the events span over a weekend or longer, each person (including the bride-to-be) should pay for their own share of the expenses as if it were any other trip. For the main celebration night during the big weekend or week, the bride-to-be covers none of the expenses, her friends will pay for everything.

When should the bachelorette party take place?

Normally a bachelorette party takes place one to four months before the wedding. In preparation for the big day, it’s wonderful to build excitement so having the bachelorette party too far in advance might lose some of the momentum, and having the party to choose to the wedding may leave everyone stressed and exhausted.

Final words

In my 28 years of teaching pole dancing parties, I have met thousands of bachelorettes and their bridesmaids and families. Most are celebrating in Las Vegas about two to three months before their wedding. Party sizes range from four ladies to large groups of 25 people, with the most popular group sizes being six to 15 people. We are here to help make the party planning process as smooth as possible for the maid of honor and the bride-to-be. Call us anytime 702-878-7653 - Fawnia Mondey, owner of Pole Fitness Studio
